March. NoPo, Echo, Kris-Anna, Chopsticks. What a pleasant surprise... By all accounts. It was an evening of discovery. Nevermind that I was signed up for the Shamrock Run at 8 o'clock in the frickin' morning tomorrow. Tonight I'm going to party like it's 1999.

KA and I had been bantering for awhile, but had not yet met. So we meet for dinner and drinks at Echo, a very hip, historic type of a place in North Portland, or NoPo, as the kids like to say. I'm early, she's late. Unusual for me, apparently not for her. We ordered ravioli and chicken. What I got was half of the biggest bird they could find.

The waitress was not as happy to be there as I was, but that didn't keep me from having some fun with her. After a few fine drinks from our bartender that KA referred to as Adrian, because he reminded her of an up and coming actor I'm not yet familiar with.
